Setting up your New Home
One of the most complicated tasks with owning a property in France can be dealing with the various utility companies and the ubiquitous red tape. As an experienced, bilingual company, we are here to take on these challenges for you – be it getting the water and electricity accounts set up, or having a phone line installed.
Set-up Fees: from €50 per utility
Security Checks
There’s nothing more disappointing than turning up to your holiday home to find a pipe has burst over winter or worse still, that someone has broken into it while you have been away. As part of our ongoing Security Check service, we will hold on to a set of keys for you and once a month, visit your property to make sure that all your doors, windows and shutters are secured, check the interior and exterior for any signs of leaks, damage etc and deal with any problems that may arise. If you choose, we will also collect your mail and forward on anything that needs attention.
Please note, Security Checks are a requirement of many insurers if a property is left empty for an extended period!
Security Check Fees: from €60 per month location dependant
Preparing for your Visit
The excitement of turning up at your Holiday Home can soon evaporate when you walk in the front door to a pile of dead flies and a thousand cobwebs! Nobody wants to spend the first day of the holiday cleaning especially if you arrive late in the evening, so if you wish we can give your home a thorough clean prior to arrival so it looks just as nice as when you left it. We can also make up any beds you require as well as turn on the water and electricity and set the heating to come on if need be.
We also offer a laundry service, whereby we will collect your linen and have it professionally cleaned and ironed.
Cleaning/Preparation Fees: €25 per hour
Gardening
Just as unpleasant as finding your home draped in cobwebs is arriving to find the grass at waist height and your garden overrun with weeds. Dependant on your Property, we can arrange to have the lawns mowed as often as required and the borders kept tidy and weed free. We can even advise on planting or go one step further and purchase and dig in plants for you as desired.
Gardening Fees: €25 per hour (€30 if machinery is not available on site)
